Southcoast to host "Take a Step for Healthy Kids" free community event on July 28

FALL RIVER, Mass. — Southcoast Health System will host "Take a Step for Healthy Kids," a free community event focused on kids' health, on Saturday, July 28, in Fall River.

Join the Southcoast Cardiac Prevention Team from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fall River Heritage State Park's Visitor's Center on Davol Street for fun-filled, healthy activities for kids including:

  • Where Fitness Meets Fun. Get your kids moving and grooving! Participate in fun, healthy activities lead by WiggleKids "Coach Kim."

  • Watch and Learn. Continuous showing of the "Eagle Books" film and related activities. The animated series focuses on the joy of physical activity, eating healthy foods and learning about traditional ways of being healthy.

  • Drink Healthy. Find out first-hand why sugar sweetened beverages are bad for you —and may not taste as good as you think.

Made possible through Southcoast Health System's Community Benefits program, the event will be held rain or shine. Parking is available at the Fall River Carousel building parking lot.
