Ian Rivera, MD, joins Southcoast Physicians Group

WAREHAM, Mass. — Southcoast Health System has announced that Ian Rivera, MD, a physician specializing in pain medicine, has joined Southcoast Physicians Group to support the Southcoast Brain & Spine Center, Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care and Southcoast Physicians Group in helping patients manage the complex issues of acute and chronic pain.

Dr. Rivera earned his medical degree at Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He completed two surgery preliminary years at New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. He also completed anesthesiology specialty and pain management subspecialty training through Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, N.Y.

Dr. Rivera will provide inpatient and outpatient consultation and management of patients with a variety of pain conditions. He will practice at the Southcoast Pain Management Program, located at Southcoast Health System at Rosebrook, 100 Rosebrook Way, Suite 200, in Wareham. The Southcoast Pain Management Program also has an office at the Southcoast Brain & Spine Center, 480 Hawthorn Street in Dartmouth.

Dr. Rivera is fluent in English and Spanish. He is accepting new patients.
