Southcoast Hospitals names Nancy Manchester Director of Regulatory Readiness

Manchester joins Southcoast from Atrius Health, an alliance of five medical groups in the greater Boston area where she served as Director of Patient Safety and Risk Management. In her new position at Southcoast, she will be responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of organization-wide patient safety programs.
Prior to her tenure at Atrius, Manchester served in positions of increasing responsibility with Advocate Health Care, a 12-hospital integrated health care system in Illinois, culminating in her role as Patient Safety and Regulatory Compliance Officer.
Manchester holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Connecticut at Storrs, Conn., board certification in electroneurodiagnostic technology and Lean Healthcare Certification through the University of Michigan School of Engineering. She was appointed to the Institutional Review Board for the University of Massachusetts in 2009.
Manchester resides in Westport with her family.
