Southcoast hosts "The Morning of Health"

DARTMOUTH, Mass. — "The Morning of Health" is a free informational seminar highlighting topics important for women. Presented by the Southcoast Hospitals Group Mammography Department, this free event will be held on Saturday, September 29, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Southcoast Center for Women's Health, 300B Faunce Corner Road, North Dartmouth.

Kicking-off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the event will include:

• A Breast Health lecture at 11 a.m., presented by Patricia Andrade, MD, a surgeon at Southcoast who specializes in breast cancer treatment.

• Free screenings including posture screenings, bone density, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings.

• A tour of the mammography facilities with radiologist Jonathan Bojarski, MD.

• Presentations on complementary therapies such as reflexology and acupuncture with certified complementary therapies practitioner Mary Chessa.

Light refreshments will be served and there will be free raffles and giveaways. To register, call the Southcoast Wellness Line at 1-800-497-1727. Walk-ins are accepted on the day of the event.
