This marks the second time in five years Southcoast has won the overall Lamplighter Award, a Paul Revere lantern mounted on a wooden base, signifying best in New England. Southcoast previously won in 2001 for a marketing campaign aimed at prostate cancer awareness.
"We are tremendously honored to be awarded the Lamplighter for the second time in five years," said Jim Rattray, Chief Communications Officer and Director of Marketing & Public Relations, who accepted the award on behalf of the team on May 9 at the Providence Biltmore.
"We are thrilled to have, once again, been recognized by our peers for our efforts to inform the people of our community about the advanced medical services Southcoast has made available, close to home."
In addition to Rattray, other members of Southcoast's Marketing & Public Relations team are Christine Azevedo, Senior Graphic Designer; Joyce Brennan, Media Coordinator; Linda Coelho, Market Analyst; Heather Coulombe, Graphic Designer; Patricia Giramma, Publications Coordinator; Kerry Mello, Marketing Coordinator, and Kathy Tsonis, Public Relations Assistant.
