Course Description and Target Audience
Internet Point-of-Care (IPOC) CME is a structured, self-directed, online learning activity designed for Southcoast Hospitals Group associated physicians, on topics relevant to their clinical practice.

After participating in this Internet Point-of-Care activity, participants will be able to:
Formulate a clinical question or questions addressing a gap in knowledge, competence, or performance.

Effectively use available databases to research evidence-based literature to answer the question(s).

Describe the application of the findings to their practice or patient care.

Expected Results
The user should be able to select and use appropriate professional, unbiased, peer-reviewed literature to answer self-identified clinical questions. They may be based on (1) a rare condition; (2) a condition not managed recently by the physician; (3) a diagnostic dilemma; (4) new clinical information; (5) controversial clinical issues; or (6) other knowledge or performance based needs as identified by the learner.
