Call A Helping Hand
A program introducing a number of complementary techniques to assist patients and their families in coping with a cancer diagnosis. Aromatherapy, therapeutic massage, relaxation techniques and meditation.Support Group
Ongoing support group for anyone who is posttreatment for a cancer diagnosis. This is offered to enable patients to deal with their feelings after treatment and with any affect the diagnosis and/or treatment has had on their lives.Mondays, 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Southcoast offers a variety of childbirth classes
to suit every new family’s needs. Please call
during the 16th week (10 to 12 weeks for multiples)
of pregnancy to ensure placement in
the class you need. Not all classes are offered
at all locations. Many health insurance companies
cover the cost of these classes; be sure to
contact yours to ask about coverage. Call the

Help Your Baby Sleep Safely
- Put baby to sleep on his or her back.
- Make sure baby sleeps on a firm mattress.
- Don’t leave pillows or stuffed toys in baby’s crib.
Did You Know?
Physical functional health includes being able to do activities such as climbing stairs and carrying groceries. Recent findings say that those with better functional health have a lower risk of stroke.

Babysitting 101
For boys and girls ages 11 and up. Teaches children to become safer and more effective babysitters. CPR skills are taught. Children must attend three sessions and will receive a successful completion card and certificate.$60/child in advance to hold registration

Thursdays, 4:30 to 6 p.m.Yoga for back health, depression, fibromyalgia or diabetes. Join Marcia K. Hathaway for intensive, comprehensive, doable yoga sessions designed to create home practices for specific health concerns. Each 90-minute session will address the issues specific to a category, provide handouts of specific yoga and Pilates work for each issue and offer time to practice and modify the asanas and Pilates exercises.

Mondays, 6 to 7 p.m.This class will inspire children to become team members and encourage them to be unique. There will be plenty of opportunities to cooperate in group activities and to feel the energy of their peers. During each class, there will be time for each child to shine. For boys and girls ages 3 to 8.

Junior Fitness
Five training sessionsOne-on-one training instruction for 10- to 15- year-olds. Safe exercise techniques and equipment operation are stressed. Sessions can be customized for young athletes.
Kids’ Fitness Volunteer Program
By appointment.Volunteers, ages 13 to 18, wanted to participate in a beginner exercise program. Participants will engage in cardiovascular exercise three times a week for four consecutive weeks. You must not be currently exercising regularly.
