support Southcoast with a
donation of any size and
make a difference in people’s lives.
Southcoast has many smaller projects on its “wish list” that would improve patient care and comfort. Your $5 contribution could help buy teddy bears to calm frightened children in the Tobey Emergency Department. A $10 gift could take the chill off a cold night by helping us buy a blanket warmer for the Intensive Care Unit. With enough $25 donations, Southcoast could replace the worn cots used by parents resting at their children’s bedsides.
Philanthropic support helps Southcoast’s hospitals stay at the forefront of medicine. It also enables the staff to provide “little things” that make the facilities feel less like hospitals and more like home.
Funding for these and other projects could one day benefit you or someone you love:
Charlton Memorial Hospital
- $2,000 to help the Southcoast Health Van provide community outreach, education and early-detection programs.
- $2,500 for nursing scholarships and professional development.
- $3,000 for equipment to monitor patients after heart procedures.
St. Luke’s Hospital
- $600 for equipment to prevent infection during endoscopic procedures.
- $1,650 for a specialized flushing pump to help define tumors, polyps and other conditions.
- $2,000 to enhance the psychiatric staff’s ability to deliver compassionate and innovative services to the underserved.
Tobey Hospital
- $10 for a Tobey Teddy to be given to a frightened or sick child in the Emergency Department.
- $700 for waterproof equipment to monitor fetal heart rate when a laboring mother is in the tub or shower.
- $1,000 for an updated entertainment cart for Pediatrics.
