“Go Red” to Combat Heart Disease

Heart disease kills women with stealth and until recently, silence.

Studies show most people are not aware heart disease kills more women each year than all types of cancer combined. And when women have a heart attack, they are almost twice as likely as men to die from it.

Southcoast is joining with the American Heart Association’s (AHA) national “Go Red” campaign to raise women’s awareness about this major health threat. Together, Southcoast and the AHA produced a wallet card to educate women about the disease’s unique signs and symptoms.

For a free wallet card, visit southcoast.org/heart or see Free Information and Offers.
