New Web Page Especially for Teens
Web-savvy teens can surf to a new site for information on
how to navigate the choppy waters of adolescent relationships,
sexuality and pregnancy prevention. It's the website for RAPP,
found at www.southcoast.org/rapp/.
RAPP, which stands for Responsible Attitudes towards
Pregnancy Prevention, is an adolescent pregnancy prevention program
sponsored and run by Southcoast Hospitals Group, designed for
use within the curriculum of high school health or science departments.
The website supports the program and contains news on pregnancy
prevention, links for teens and information on MAPP (Males Are
Part of the Puzzle), a program specially designed for young males.
The "Ask a Peer" page allows teens to talk to a knowledgeable
person their own age about issues they are facing. There are
links for teen fathers and even a page for parents looking for
information on how to tackle tough issues with their teens.
