If You Had Prostate Cancer,
Would You Know?

Early prostate cancer usually does not have any symptoms and can go undetected without regular testing. By receiving simple blood screenings and exams, prostate cancer can be detected five or more years earlier than it would be otherwise.

Who Should Get Screened?

Men older than age 40, particularly African-American men, should have regular screenings. Studies have shown that African-American men are at increased risk for the disease.

What Is a Prostate Cancer Screening?

Prostate cancer screening tests consist of two parts, the prostate specific antigen test (PSA) and a digital rectal exam, both of which take less than five minutes to conduct.
