Health care soon may
be rolling through your
neighborhood. The new
Southcoast Health Van
is bringing free health
screenings and other
services to about 5,000
residents from Seekonk
to Wareham. It is the only
health van that “makes
rounds” nearly each day in
the South Coast region.
The van is an essential
part of Southcoast’s mission
to provide services for
those without access to
basic primary care. Some
of the services available on
the van include:
- Blood pressure checks.
- Cholesterol and diabetes
screenings.
- Flu vaccines.
- Pregnancy tests.
- Blood donations.
- Patient education.
- Referrals to other health
care professionals.
The Southcoast Health
Van also makes stops at
businesses, health fairs
and other locations.
