Vote Southcoast to help local cancer patients!

2012 Southcoast Pink Glove Dance

Southcoast is participating in the 2012 Pink Glove Dance, a national video competition to raise awareness for breast cancer.

More than 300 employees and physicians, from all Southcoast locations, participated in the making of this film that is centered on the journey our oncology patients go through — and the great care and compassion they receive from the entire Southcoast team!

Now we are competing with other Pink Glove Dance videos from all over the U.S. We need as many people as possible to vote for the Southcoast video.

Now through November 2, you and everyone you know can vote by going to www.southcoast.org/pinkglovedance.

If we win, local patients win.

The prize for the winning institution is a donation to a local breast cancer charity. We chose The FLY Foundation, which provides financial assistance to cancer patients aged 19 to 39. The FLY Foundation was founded by a Southcoast cancer patient and helps this small but underserved population so they don't have to experience cancer alone.

Panera's Pink Ribbon Bagel benefits Southcoast

Panera Bread, located at the Dartmouth Mall in North Dartmouth, is once again inviting its customers to join the fight against breast cancer by enjoying its signature Pink Ribbon Bagel for breakfast, lunch or dinner during national Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

In celebration of the Pink Ribbon Bagel Campaign's 11-year anniversary, 25 cents from each Pink Ribbon Bagel sold at the North Dartmouth bakery-cafe will be donated to Southcoast Hospitals' Women's Health Services. Panera North Dartmouth customers can also help by mentioning "Southcoast" or saying "Cater Pink" when placing a Catering order, where 10 percent of that catering order will be donated to Southcoast Hospitals' Women's Health Services.

Southcoast Hospitals is a primary provider of breast health services in the region and offers 100 percent digital mammography services at 11 locations throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. Southcoast Hospitals' Breast Imaging Centers are the only in the South Coast region to be designated as Centers of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.
