If you own a small business in Massachusetts, you need to know about the new Health Care Reform Law.
Southcoast is hosting a FREE breakfast for small business owners on Thursday, April 19, at White's of Westport.
Southcoast has invited the Massachusetts Hospital Association to discuss the background and the basics of health care reform and the various options available in health care plans.
Registration is required by April 12.
You can be a hospice volunteer
"One thing all hospice volunteers have in common is a true desire to help," said Jo-Ann Richard, Volunteer Coordinator at Southcoast Home Care, Hospice & Palliative Care & Infusion Services.
"Some provide care and comfort to patients and their families while others prefer to assist with fundraising events, bereavement services, memorial planning, community networking, office tasks and other helpful duties."
The hospice volunteer must participate in a free 16-hour training session held at Southcoast Home Care, Hospice & Palliative Care & Infusion Services located at 200 Mill Road, Fairhaven.
The next training sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 18 and 19.
Hospice volunteer training topics include patient care, family dynamics and spirituality. For more information, please contact JoAnn Richard at 508-984-0277.
