E-mail a patient

It just got easier to keep in touch with a loved one or friend who is a patient at Southcoast Hospitals.

Just send an e-mail!

In just two easy steps, you can create a message and have it delivered to a patient Monday through Friday. We'll do everything we can to deliver your message the same day.

Get started now — and let someone know you're thinking of them.

Go Red for Women

Heart disease is every woman's number one health threat. And Southcoast helps women maintain heart health in many ways:

Our free Cardiac Prevention program has served over 5,000 Southcoast residents. The program's prevention efforts focus on promoting education, lifestyle changes and risk factor modification.

Feeling Fit is a program of supervised exercise and education for those who are at risk for heart disease or recovering from heart disease.

And our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab programs are offered in Fall River, New Bedford and Wareham for patients who are recovering from heart disease or pulmonary disease.

Take our heart risk quiz and send for a free Women & Heart Disease tip card.

Give a pint ~ Get a pound

Start 2007 off right!

All during January, you give us a pint of blood and we'll give you a pound of delicious Dunkin' Donuts® coffee!

Dunkin' Donuts is teaming up with the Southcoast Blood Bank at St. Luke's Hospital to encourage local residents to donate blood.

In January, anyone who donates blood at the Southcoast Blood Bank at St. Luke's Hospital or at any Southcoast Blood Bank site or blood drive will receive a certificate for a pound of Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Coupons are redeemable at any Dunkin' Donuts shop.

Put your knees and hips in our hands

At Southcoast, we do over 5,000 orthopedic procedures a year, including more than 900 knee and hip replacements.

We have 21 board-certified orthopedic surgeons — almost half who have additional fellowship training in joint surgery, hand surgery and sports medicine.

And orthopedic specialists are on call 24/7 in our Emergency Departments. All Southcoast hospitals use advanced technology and the latest procedures — so you can get back to doing what you love.

Award-winning chowder served at inaugural event

The clam chowder at St. Luke's Hospital is so good, even Gov. Deval Patrick asked for it.

The Food & Nutrition team from St. Luke's proudly served its award-winning clam chowder at an inaugural event held January 7 at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

You can taste it yourself — every Friday at the St. Luke's cafeteria.
