Weight Loss Surgery
Some 400,000 Americans die prematurely each year of obesity-related complications such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
Southcoast's community-based gastric bypass program is designed to incorporate a thorough approach to weight loss surgery with a team that includes dieticians, psychologists and surgeons to provide a safe and comprehensive surgical weight loss program.
Potential patients must attend a free informational session that is held monthly to provide information about gastric bypass surgery and explain the risks and benefits.
