Does my insurance pay for diabetes education?
Most insurance companies pay for outpatient diabetes education services. A physician order and referral are needed to enter the program. Check with your insurance company for specific rules and policies required.
How do I get an appointment?

What is a normal blood glucose value?
According to the American Diabetes Association, recommended blood glucose values are as follows:
- Blood glucose values before meals should be 120 mg/dl or less.
- Blood glucose values 2 hours after meals should be 160 mg/dl or less.
