Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy has been documented in old scriptures and hieroglyphics dating back to the ancient Romans and Egyptians.

There are many different types of herbal and other aromas that can help mend your mind and body. Some are just for relaxation, some increase memory retention, some even curb appetites.

Methods of application differ as well as the different aromas. You can apply an oil while being massaged (many times aromatherapy is used in conjunction with massage therapy). You can use aromatherapy in the bath, with soap or in shampoo, in a facial mist, cream or even in candle form to fill your entire house with a purifying aroma.

It may not be strictly medicinal, but aromatherapy can soothe what sometimes hurts the most - your mind.
