Join Southcoast Hospitals, Neighbors Eager for Enlightened Development (the neighborhood association surrounding St. Luke's Hospital) and the Friends of Buttonwood Park for Ward 5 Operation Clean Sweep New Bedford 2013.

We encourage families, friends, students and senior groups to join those who live in the neighborhood along with St. Luke's staff to volunteer and take part in this cleanup.

  • Free bagels, fruit, juice, water and Domino's Pizza for all visitors.

  • All tools and materials provided.

  • Work in teams — stay as long as you can!

  • FUN 107 will on site — broadcasting live!

  • Coupon for free St. Luke's clam chowder for all volunteers.

  • Gifts to Give: Bring your gently used clothes, cribs, strollers and car seats to be refurbished and donated within our community.

  • Students: Community service letters are available for all students.

  • All children 12 years of age and younger will receive a free pass to the Buttonwood Park Zoo, redeemable on May 18 following the completion of the Ward 5 clean up.
